Holiday Season!
It has been a busy time, but we are enjoying it very much. It is not fun going to the stores, etc. so you try to find a time it isn't so busy!! L. and K. came first and then D. and A. They left this morning for home. We had lots of fun at the pool, even when it was raining!! Except someone left a shower on, and we had cold showers!!! J. had flown to IA to get his dad, and they returned in the meantime. We look forward to J. and J.'s coming tomorrow. On Sunday evening after G. Mtg. we had supper at my niece and her family in Gilbert. Her brother-in-law and family arrived from NE. while we were eating. Last night we had friends over from Ontario...they are snowbirds, too. On Monday the men delivered a table to one of our elderly ladies, then J., D., and A., went on a mountain climb with some snowbirds from MN. The first week of January we look for my brother and wife for a week. Jerry's niece is coming next week to see her Grandpa. One day while the girls were here we visited the Swap Meet, we also went with D. and A., and we'll hope to go with J. and Jo's! We'll hope to go there again Friday or Saturday. We want to wish everyone a very "Happy New Year!"

2008 is almost History!
It is hard to believe 2008 is almost gone! Time waits for no man! We look forward to our granddaughter and her girl friend coming to visit us next week. Then the next week our son and wife hope to come, and our daughter and husband, and grandson hope to come around Christmas, so December is looking like a busy month. We have lots of jobs around the house and yard here, too, so we keep busy. Jerry worked on the roof today. We have six blinds to put up, plus he has weeds in the yard that need to be sprayed. Here in AZ we have a rock yard, so the weeds need to be kept under control. Also, the palm trees need trimming. In a years time they put on a lot of growth, so the seed pods and most of the branches need to be trimmed. Then they need to be peeled where the old growth has been cut off. Although there is lots to be done we love it here. No snow, sleet, ice, or zero, or subzero temperatures. We will enjoy!!!

Thanksgiving Day!
I had this typed once, and my keyboard went dead!! Thank You for batteries!! As you can see by the picture below it is raining here in AZ. It is most welcome! Everything smells so fresh! The gas prices have steadily dropped so it is $1.83. WOW! I remember when the gas prices were 29 cents a gallon. About 40 some years ago! I went to the pool today and had it to myself. My own private pool! Neat! I don't envy any of you up in the cold country. This is the life! I go almost everyday to the pool, but today I went between rain showers. It is such good therapy for achy backs, hips, legs, joints, etc. It is really hard to walk when you have a bad hip. The sky was really busy while I was at the pool. I think about two dozen or more jets came into Sky Harbor Airport in Phoenix in about and hours time. They all must have been going to have a late Thanksgiving turkey!!
