A Nice Afternoon Drive! Canyon Lake!

A gorgeous day here in AZ. We took a drive out to see Canyon Lake. We loved the swirly roads and the rough terrain with all the cactus.

When we are out and about we love to eat at these wonderful places. Their salads are wonderful, and so are their soups and sandwiches. Their bakery has fresh breads and cookies. It beats fast foods by miles and miles!

This Fox News Helicopter was flying so low the other day hovering just over one of Karen's houses. We were wondering what was so new worthy, but we didn't find out!!

I have had a very nice birthday! Karen took us out to eat at the Charleston! It was wonderful! Thanks to all my family and friends for all the birthday wishes!! Tomorrow we look forward to a very special day!

AZ Weather, You Got to Love It!!

It was quite a day here in AZ!! It started out cloudy and cooler! Nice!! All in all we got sunshine, rain, wind, hail, flooding, thunder, lightning and rainbows!! Can you believe it!! And guess what, these Arizonians don't know how to drive, so raining just makes them worse!! There were all kinds of accidents. They drive like there is no tomorrow and for some there isn't! Some roads were closed for hours. We were across town to the west valley. Coming home the traffic was bumper to bumper, except the HOA lane. We saw the most beautiful rainbows...would have loved to have had a picture, but I was driving and it was raining hard! Anyway, through it all, tonight should be a good night for sleeping. It can rain some more...We miss the sound of raindrops!! In the Pacific Northwest you get very little lightning and thunder, so it is kind of welcoming to hear it{lots of rain, tho}...glad it is not like the electrical storms in Iowa, tho!
